The ‘Airway Corner’ will be an educational section which will accompany each month’s airway registry data in 2019.
This educational resource will outline the following:
- The anatomy and physiology of airway management in ‘Know Your Airway’
- The history and tips & tricks around the equipment we use to perform RSI in ‘Know Your Equipment’
- Ways to improve first pass success and avoid complications related to RSI in ‘Know Your Plan’ and ‘Know Your Drugs’
- Scenarios which make you wish you had packed a spare pair of undies in ‘Know Your Patient – Code Brown Scenarios’
I hope this resource can improve our knowledge and confidence in performing Emergency RSI and provide a study aid for those preparing for Primary and Fellowship exams
