The CCPU is recognised by ACEM for credentialing in Point of Care US. To embark on this you must first join the Australasian Society for US in Medicine (ASUM) and then enrol in the CCPU, including the physics module. You can then chose up to 18 modules to complete.
You are required to:
- Attend an ASUM recognised instructional course (within 2 years of logbook submission)
- Submit a logbook with the required amount of scans specified for each module
- Complete 2 summative and 1 formative assessments per module
- Enrol in the myASUM CPD programme
- Maintain annual ASUM membership
If you have attended a course prior to joining ASUM, you are able to apply for advanced standing.
If there has been > 2 yr since attending a course but you scan regularly and don’t want to pay for a further course, don’t worry! If you are able to show evidence of this to the Clinical Lead in US, then they will be able to write a supporting letter to the CCPU team allowing your logbook to be submitted.
Application forms are found in the CCPU Enrolment section.
