Mnemonic: The Limping Child – LIMPSS
L – Legg-Calve-Perthes disease
I – Infection: septic joint, OM, meningococcaemia, transient synovitis
M – Malignancy: Osteosarcoma, Ewing’s sarcoma
P – Painful Fracture, NAI
S – Slipped Upper Femoral Epiphysis
S – Somewhere else: appendicitis, torsion, UTI, medical: sickle cell crisis, haemophilia, HSP
